Leadership Training: Building Trust, Building Leaders
On August 14-15, 2026, Grades 5 to 12 Class Officers and Grade 12 volunteers attended the In-Campus Leadership Camp (ILC). The event was held in Multi-Purpose Hall (MPH) and Building 2, Hall 1. It aimed to establish a firm foundation for student-leaders, allowing them to connect with one another through messages, games, and fun activities.

On the first day, students registered themselves before proceeding to the MPH. The OCGS Music Society set the tone of the event through leading the Praise and Worship songs. SC President Leonardo Go and SC Vice President Angeli Ong hosted the event, which started with a short ice breaker. Participants were made to create pictures like a star, using their bodies and creativity with their groups.
The first keynote speaker was Dr. Anna Bianca Marie F. Watanabe-Rattila, an OCGS alumna. She discussed the Eisenhower Matrix, a simple time management technique that helps to sort tasks by urgency.
After the first half of the discussion, Dr. Bianca announced an activity where each group was to make their own Eisenhower Matrix on a sheet of manila paper. A representative from each group then shared about the tasks written on their paper.

Dr. Bianca continued to talk about active listening skills and the proactive or “stop reacting and start leading” approach. The discussion ended with a closing prayer, and participants were then led to Building 2, where they winded down and spent the night.
The second day was filled with learning, teamwork, and fun. Students and teachers began the morning with breakfast at the Dining Hall before gathering at Hall 1 for a morning prayer, led by Eliana Dumalaog, followed by an energizing Zumba session.
The morning continued with the second keynote speaker, Gerald Peter B. Que, who shared three principles of Christ-like leadership: Seek God, Lead with Others, and Find a Mentor. Groups applied these lessons by creating short GIF-style videos about leadership.

Team-building activities followed, beginning with Find Your Balloon, which encouraged communication and teamwork. This was followed by a Treasure Hunt, where groups explored the campus, solved clues and puzzles, and completed challenges. Afterwards, the groups created their own flags and took part in an obstacle course at the Quadrangle.
Through various mini-games, participants developed coordination, strategy, perseverance, and determination. The afternoon ended with a processing activity, where students reflected on their experiences, challenges, and leadership lessons. They also created superhero names representing the leaders they hoped to become and placed them on the Pledge of Leadership Wall.
The day concluded with a closing ceremony, where the Student Council was recognized and the group winners were announced. Samson's Pear Pillars placed first, followed by Jesus's White Star in second and Isaiah's Blue Prophecy in third. The groups took photos together before ending the event with a closing prayer.
